Prepare your sneakers and get ready to visit one of the special destinations proposed by DO for the Spring day 2013. 700 places are open throughout Italy with free contribution visits, thanks to the commitment of 7,000 volunteers and 21,000 young students who will act as Guide accompanying you to discover all the historical-artistic aspects of the monuments.
The protagonist of the FAI Spring Day edition 2013, and the culture. Until today, the FAI Spring Day it has totaled twenty editions hosting approximately 6,800,000 visitors. A unique opportunity for all people interested in naturalistic heritage Italian, not only museums and monuments but above all nature and culture. For example, in the Campania Region, the Cantine in Canto di Castevenere will be open, a guided tour of the Arch of Trajan in Benevento will be offered and among the jewels of the region, there is no shortage guided tours to naturalistic assets such as the Bay of Ieranto in Massa Lubrense, Mount Somma in Pollena Trocchia and the inevitable National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano, in the Salerno area.
During the FAI Spring Day it will be possible to enter palaces, churches, castles, parks and visit 700 wonderful treasures throughout Italy often closed to the public. The appointment is set for Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March.
Those with a smartphone can download the application dedicated to the FAI Spring Day. The application will allow instant access to all information on700 Open assets in all Italian regions and find the easiest site to reach. The application is available for iPhone OS and Android.
